TravelPlex Travel & Cruise, a St. Louis based travel management company, has an immediate opening for a Travel Advisor on our Vacations Team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Travel Advisor to work for one of St. Louis’s best travel management companies. We are looking for a Travel Advisor who is self-motivated and passionate about traveling. You will manage travel protocols, provide tourism related services and package tours on behalf of our suppliers. Our priority is to create relationships with our guests, plan seamless trips based on our guests’ specific wants and needs and ensure their travel experience is beyond expectation.
Position Summary:
• Plan and sell perfect vacation experiences for our clients, including all aspects of their travel needs
• Work hand and hand with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs, accommodations, and travel protocols
• Book transportation, make hotel reservations and collect payment/fees
• Experience using social media to market yourself
• Effectively handle any occurring travel problems or delays
• Attend travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends
• Enter data into our software and maintain client files, Clientbase knowledge a plus
• Network with tour operators and tourism board representatives
• Meet profit and sales targets
• Knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
• Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
• Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
• Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
• Ability to prospect new clients and maintain a book of business
TravelPlex Travel & Cruise is a business based in St. Louis celebrating 30 years in business and is a leader in the leisure and corporate travel market. We offer a competitive salary and revenue sharing opportunities based on sales goals.
This is a full-time position, 8:30a – 5p, Monday – Friday, at our Cottleville office. Training for the right candidate is possible. We do offer a lucrative bonus program based on sales on top of salary.
