Julie Goessling Matheny is a travel industry professional, bringing over 25 years of travel expertise to her role at TravelPlex. As the driving force behind sales and business development activities in the US, Julie excels in competitive analysis, setting target objectives, and boosting revenues for new clients. Julie has worked with industry giants such as Avis, Enterprise/ National, Alamo, American Express, and a BCD affiliate. Her experience makes her adept at providing a balance for clients who seek the personalized "TLC" (tender loving care) of an agent, along with the most current travel technology. Julie works closely with corporate clients to deliver travel cost-saving programs while extending best-in-class service and high-end technology. She is passionate about offering strategic guidance and unique solutions to manage travel expenses while delivering high quality client service.
Beyond her professional achievements, Julie is deeply involved in the community. She has served on both the Saint Louis University Billiken Club Committee and the St. Joseph's Academy Advancement Committee. As the past Chairman of the St. Louis Business Travel Association/GBTA, Julie has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, earning the prestigious Business Travel Professional Service Award from the Global Business Travel Association. She was also most recently inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, honoring her role as the Girls Basketball Coach at St. Joseph's Academy in Frontenac, MO. Julie, who coached alongside her twin brother, Bob Goessling, retired from her coaching position in April 2024, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and dedication both on and off the court. She wrapped up her coaching career with a record of 518 Angel victories.
